This famous national park was created on 1st June 1955 and in 1973, it was declared as Kanha Tiger Reserve. Presently it stretches over the two districts of Madhya Pradesh, Mandla and Balaghat and has occupied an area of about 940 km2. The area of Kanha is divided into two important sanctuaries, Banjar and Hallon. It is a beautiful national park nestled in the Maikal Range of Satpura. This is not only the biggest reserves of state but it is one of the biggest reserves of India. People visit this national park with the feeling as the dwell of the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.
